Chivalrous Knot

This design always makes me think of some great knight of old coming to the rescue of the fair damsel. Why are they always in distress?

I love how the sword turned out for this!

Showing my Irish roots

I made this pic around St. Patty's Day 2010

This is actually my very first in-depth knot work design. I got the idea from a friends tattoo and started it with the intention of just being a small, simple doddle, that grew and changed until it became this. It took me about 3hrs to finish, but that was spanned over a few different days, drawing the same petal four times can be a little boring sometimes :P

Scroll Puzzle Designs

One of the 3D art forms that I've found I like to do is scroll saw puzzles and other things done on a scroll saw. I hope to have some pictures of finished puzzles up here sometime, but at the moment I don't have any finished puzzles (either gave them to people or they were ruined when the mice got into them, grr!!), or a working scroll saw to make new ones. But I do have a couple of designs that I made that I can post here.

These were made for a couple of friends. I was going to make them as Christmas presents a couple years ago, but when I went to start working on them a small part in the blade holding arm was broke, so I couldn't make them.

Emotion Pics

Sometimes I draw stuff when I'm feeling hurt or depressed, usually not the best times for good drawings, but they tend to come out fairly interesting.

As you probably noticed, these pictures all share one thing in common, they each have hearts as part of the main idea. My emotions definitely rule me sometimes.

Butterfly Chain Axe

A chained axe similar to that of a Kusari-gama (chained scythe). The axe blade is fashioned to look like a butterflies wings, geared more likely for a woman to use do to the imagery, but doesn't have to be.

Can you guess what this is?

This is a knot work design that I did while I was bored one day, something caught my eye, and it just made me draw something like it. Brownie points to whoever can guess what it is before they see the answer. No one has yet.

Here's a hint, look at the spaces in between the knots. If you still can't guess it, highlight the space below.

Angelic Cross

I made this cross design for a friend of mine. I plan on eventually doing a painting of it, but don't know when I will get to it.

This picture was the first time that I had ever done any sort of wings on anything. You might notice that each of the ends of the cross are trinity knots. The trinity knot is one of my favorite Celtic images/designs. I just love the way it looks and the meanings behind it.
